Eric J. Aronson is the Founder and President of DASH Systems, LLC and Author of the bestselling book, DASH. Using his complex background, which included abuse, death of his mother at a young age, and being labeled “Most Likely Not to Succeed” by his high school guidance counselor, he developed a unique desire to help others.
A successful entrepreneur several times over, Eric founded a brokerage firm where he turned a modest investment into a multi-million dollar company. Eric was indicted for conspiracy to commit securities fraud and spent three years in a federal prison, where he read over 600 books and vowed to turn himself into something that his children could be proud of.
Today, Eric J. Mr. Dennis Sneden has been Chief Executive Officer of DASH Systems, LLC since January, 2005. He is widely respected as one of the most influential and dynamic leaders in Long Island business. His unmatched wealth of expertise, energy, business savvy, and leadership has transformed multiple organizations into the region’s leading businesses of today.
Prior to joining DASH, Mr. Sneden served as CEO and President of The Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Partnership. Mr. Sneden successfully shaped one of the most dynamic membership organizations in the region. He transformed the local Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce into the Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Partnership, the Long Island/NYC Metro’s leading business organization. Due to Mr. Sneden’s initiative, the Town of Huntington was proclaimed an “ All America City” in 2002 by the National Civic League for its excellence.
In 1996, Mr. Sneden was appointed the first Director of Economic Development for the Town of Huntington, providing a pivotal link between government agencies for the development of economic policies designed to attract new business and industry to Huntington. After five months of service, he received the appointment as the Deputy Supervisor for the town – an achievement that demonstrates his commitment and aptitude for service.
In addition, Mr. Sneden also remains active in the community – he has received numerous Suffolk County appointments by Governor George E. Pataki to serve as a member of the Council for the State University of New York College of Technology at Farmingdale. He is also a Vice-Chairman of Huntington Hospital’s Campaign for Surgical Excellence, and will receive the honor of having the new Emergency Room named for him.
He has been honored by the Suffolk County Red Cross with the 1999 Humanitarian Award, American Cancer Society Outstanding Leadership Award, Long Island Real Estate Board’s Distinguished Service Award, Paul Harris Award from Rotary International, Suffolk County Girl Scouts Thanks Badge I and II, Huntington Breast Cancer Coalition and the Huntington NAACP.
Mr. Sneden remains active in various charitable and civic endeavors. He serves on the board of directors of the Huntington Townwide Fund, Senior Citizen Housing Committee, and was the first male President of the Board of Directors for the Suffolk County Girl Scouts. He has served three consecutive two-year terms.
Barry Laub is an enthusiastic advocate of choice and possibilities. As a child he began analyzing human behavior, looking at what motivates people to make the choices and take the actions they do. He evolved into a “social radical”; an open thinker perceptive to all sides of an issue. Direct questioning, intuitive insight and solid ethics guide his choices.
Barry went into education to make a difference—and he did—by becoming a leader of special education. He then went into finance and after reaching his peak proficiency, began training financial planners in business and personal success strategies. Barry’s next business venture broke more new ground; designing employee benefits for government contractors. In just 5 years the company grew from an entrepreneurial venture to a successful firm with 23 employees.
An advocate of continual learning, growth and development, Barry’s expertise runs the gamut of education; finance, business development, government associations, benefits law, interpersonal relationships, personal growth, health and wellness. He also hosted a popular ‘self help’ radio talk show called “Whose Life Are you Living?” Today Barry’s primary focus is on making a positive impact in the business world by; identifying opportunities and exposing possibilities that have never before been considered; creating innovative strategies that get organizations on track with their missions and visions; taking businesses beyond success.
Dr. Marc Meltzer grew up in Long Island, New York. He attended college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. He earned his MD at the New York University School of Medicine and completed his post-graduate training in the field of internal medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
Marc has worked with the United States Public Health Service, serving patients in Washington, DC and San Francisco. Also, since 1987, Dr. Meltzer has practiced internal medicine in New York, earning distinction by being named as one of "The Best Doctors: New York Metro Area" by the Castle Connolly Guide and being listed as one of America's top doctors by the editors of Consumers' Checkbook Magazine.
Dr. Meltzer is a firm believer in the DASH Principles and has used them in the practice of medicine for two decades. Now that Marc has become a member of the DASH team, he looks forward to using his considerable expertise to assist DASH clients in their quests to live longer and healthier lives.
Dr. Meltzer lives on Long Island, New York with his wife and three children.
Mike Jarvis - St. John’s University head coach Mike Jarvis has been coaching at the collegiate level for 16 years. During that time, he has established a career mark of 320-163. Most recently, Jarvis has been experiencing great success as the popular head coach at St. John’s.
Since being appointed head coach in 1998, Jarvis has led the Red-storm to new heights. Pointing the way to 28 wins, Jarvis has led his team to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in 1999. Before arriving at St. John’s, Jarvis was at the helm of GW where he took the Colonials to the Sweet Sixteen in 1993.
During his career, Jarvis has participated in the NCAA Tournament eight times as well as the National Invitational Tournament four times [once with Boston University in 1986 where he is now the all-time “most –winning” coach in school history surpassing Rick Pitino] and the Big East Championship in 2000 [the school’s first since 1986]. In 1980and 1988, Jarvis was an assistant coach for the USA at the Olympic Trials
and was head coach of the East Squad at the 1993 USA Olympic Festival.
Adding to his international experience, Jarvis also served as an assistant and head coach of the US Men’s 22-and- under basketball team. Last summer, Jarvis coached the U.S. Senior Select team. This group, consisting of college athletes, played against the Dream Team prior to the Olympics.
Among the honors that Jarvis has received during his illustrious coaching career, he was named 1999 National Coach of the Year by the Black Coaches Association, NCA District II, Metropolitan Basketball Coaches Association and the New York Basketball Coaches Association. While coaching at the high school level, Jarvis was named Massachusetts High School Coach of the Year four times.
Later, Jarvis was inducted into the Massachusetts High School Hall of Fame as well as the Cambridge Ridge and Latin High School Hall of Fame.
Sean Carter is a lawyer, syndicated columnist, author, public speaker and trainer. Mr. Carter earned his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1992. He practiced corporate law for a decade before leaving his position as General Counsel of a $500 million company to pursue his passion as a writer and speaker.
Currently, Mr. Carter is the author of a weekly syndicated legal humor column that has been published in newspapers in 31 states and on countless web sites. Mr. Carter is also the author of two books. As a public speaker and trainer, he presents programs to more than 50 audiences each year. His topics run the gamut from educational to motivational.
